Bath foods are anything that is small, delicious and moist, especially fruits. These should be peeled and cut into bite-size pieces and placed in an attractive bowl. In winter, try mixing citrus. Oranges, grapefruit and naartjies/mineolas, all segmented or cut. Or pawpaw, pear and apple. In summer months try strawberries or mixed berries. Or different peaches and nectarines. Or melon. Take the pips out of watermelon. Or a bunch of great grapes. Please note the “or” here. Just select two or three fruits that go together and make one small, colourful bowl. This is not breakfast or supper! (Although it can be if you want that. But that’s another adventure.) This is rather another wonderful side dish to the main event that follows.
